Proprietor Mae Hill opened up Hill’s Flowers in the 1920s. The business first appears in City Directories on Race Street in 1931. The rooftop sign most likely dates to the 1930s. The green neon signage attached to the front of the building looks to be a later addition, most likely 1950s.
